CUNYFirst has gotten an updated look and feel with the move to PeopleSoft 9.2. The new version provides a modern, tile-based interface that you may customize by dragging and dropping tiles. The interface is also mobile friendly and scales to fit the display of the device you use, whether it's your phone, PC or laptop. Version 9.2 also provides better search capabilities to make it easier for you to find the needed function.

Below are some guides to assist you with navigating CUNYFirst.
Apply for ePermit (Undergraduates Students)
Preferred method for Undergraduate Students to apply for an ePermit request.
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Academic Records"
3. Select "ePermit" from the left hand side menu
4. Select "Add ePermit with Equivalent Courses" and "Term"
5. Select course which you are looking to complete at another CUNY School.
Note: For this example ANTH 10100 will be selected.
6. Click on "Fetch Equivalent CUNY Courses" to find the equivalent courses at other CUNY colleges.
7. Select the CUNY College which you would like to go on ePermit by checking the box under "Request ePermit" and then click on "View Class Sections" to view available sections at selected CUNY College.
Click on "ePermit Form" to continue.
Note: If boxed is greyed out, course is not being offered.
Note: For this example Borough of Manhattan CC will be selected.
8. Select "Permit Type"
9. Select "Host Session"
Note: If you are not able to select a session is because the Host College is not accepting ePermit request at the moment.
10. Click on "Submit" to complete ePermit request submission
Apply for ePermit (Graduate Students)
Preferred method for Graduate/Doctoral Students to apply for an ePermit request.
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Academic Records"
3. Select "ePermit" from the left hand side menu
4. Select "Add ePermit" and "Term"

A. Select "Permit Type"
B. Select "Home Course" you may search by Subject and Catalog Number.
Note: If no "Home Course" is located, enter advisor name student spoke with and home course equivalent in the "Comments Section"
Select Host College Information in the following order:
- Host College - CUNY School you would like to go on ePermit.
- Host Career - Career for the course, in this case Graduate.
- Host Term - Term/Semester course is being offered, in this case Summer 2022 (1226).
- Host Session - Session course is being offered. If no session is available that means Host College is not accepting ePermit request at the moment.
- Subject - Subject of the course you would like to go on ePermit
- Catalog Number - Number of the course you would like to go on ePermit
- Description - Once the Subject and Catalog Number is selected, this box will display the title of the course.
C. Click "Submit"
6. ePermit Request successfully submitted.
Apply for Graduation
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password.
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Graduation"
3. Select "Apply for Graduation" from the left-hand side menu and click on "Apply for Graduation" at the bottom of the screen.
4. Select "Graduation Term" from the "Expected Graduation Term" drop down and click "Continue".
5. Verify Degree, Major, and Minor (If applicable) information. Click "Continue"
6. Click on "Submit Application"
7. Application Successfully Submitted
Cancel ePermit Request
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Academic Records"
3. Select "ePermit" from the left hand side menu

A. Select "Search ePermit"
B. Select "Term"
C. Select the ePermit Request you wish to cancel.
D. Click "Continue"
5. Click on the "Cancel" button
6. Once the ePermit cancel request is processed by the Registrar's Office, the Permit Status will change to "Cancelled".
Drop/Withdraw from a Course using Schedule Builder
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password.
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Schedule Builder"
3. Select the "Term" which you would like to drop class from
4. Click on the "Trash Can" icon next to the course you would like to drop.
Note: Once selected the check will be removed from the course.
5. Click on "Get This Schedule" button on the bottom of the page.
6. Click on the "Do Actions" button at the bottom of the page.
7. Request is now complete; course has been dropped.
Home Address Update
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password.
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Profile"
3. Select "Addresses" from the left-hand side menu
4. Select "Home Address" and click "Current"
5. Edit Home Address and click "Save"
Register/Add a Course Using Schedule Builder
Sign into CUNYFirst (https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password.
1. Select "Student Center"
2. Select "Schedule Builder"
3. Select term which you would like to Register/Add class from
4. Search for the course you wish to register for
Note: In this example ART 10000 will be used

A. Select the section you wish to register for
B. Click on "Get This Schedule" button
6. Click on "Do Actions" button
7. Request is now complete; course has been added to your schedule
View Unofficial Transcript / Verification of Enrollment
Sign into CUNYFirst (http://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu) with your CUNYFirst UserName and Password.
1. Select "Student Center".
2. Select "Transcript and Verification".

A. Select "View Unofficial Transcript" from the left-hand side menu.
B. Select "The City College of New York".
4.
A. Select "Report Type" Student Unofficial Transcript.
B. Click "Submit".
Note: Ensure the pop-up blocker on your web browser is turned off to view your unofficial transcript.

A. For a Verification, click on "Request Enrollment Verification".
B. Select "The City College of New York".
6.
A. Select "Academic Institution"
B. Select desired content of the verification.
- Include program and plan/major.
- Include earned degree.
- Include the term and cumulative GPA.
C. Select the term needed, or leave blank to include all terms that you are enrolled for at City College.
D. Click "Submit"
View Enrollment Appointment
