The Americas Poetry Festival of New York 2020 is the seventh multilingual poetry festival organized by the City College of New York Division of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences in collaboration with the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association; and Instituto Cervantes New York. Professors and writers Carlos Aguasaco, Yrene Santos, and Carlos Velásquez Torres curate this annual event.

Under the current circumstances, we have decided to dedicate this edition of the festival to foster dialogues on the craft of poetry. Our aim is to highlight the thought of contemporary poets and scholars amidst the current global circumstances. The festival will take place on October 14, 15, and 16.

This virtual event will consist of a series of live streaming using Facebook and YouTube Live.
