Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Spring 2024 Term!

Dear CWE Students,

We extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to each one of you. Whether you are returning to continue your educational journey or embarking on this adventure for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as a part of our vibrant City College downtown community.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are here to support you in your academic endeavors and personal growth.  As you navigate your courses, assignments, projects, and exams, remember that challenges are the stepping stones to success. Embrace them with determination, for they are opportunities to expand your horizons and develop new skills. Seek out help when needed, whether it's from your professors, peers, or academic support services. Remember, you are not alone on this journey.

College life is not just about academics; it's also about forging connections, discovering passions, and becoming well-rounded individuals. As you balance your studies and various commitments, don't forget the importance of self-care. Take time for yourself, practice mindfulness, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

As you embark on this new chapter, remember that success is a journey, not a destination. Celebrate your achievements, both big and small, and learn from your setbacks. Your potential is limitless, and we can't wait to see the incredible things you will achieve.

Once again, welcome to a new academic year. Let's make it a year of growth, inspiration, and remarkable accomplishments.

Here's to your success!

Sincerely,
Dr. Juan Carlos Mercado
