Message from the Dean
Welcome to the 2024-2025 Academic Year!
Dear Students,
Whether you are returning to continue your educational journey or embarking on this adventure for the first time, I am thrilled to welcome you to our vibrant CCNY CWE community!
Our dedicated team of advisors, faculty, and staff is here to support your academic endeavors and personal growth. We are committed to helping you navigate your courses, assignments, projects, and exams seamlessly, while at all times keeping your ultimate goal—graduation—in sight as our highest mutual priority.
As life returns to normalcy, meaningful academic, professional, and personal relationships flourish both in person and online. While challenges may will undoubtably arise, these obstacles often become the stepping stones to your success. Embrace them with determination, curiosity, and an open mind, as they offer opportunities to expand your horizons and develop new skills. You are not alone on this journey; seek help from your advisors, professors, peers, or academic support services whenever needed. They are all eager to assist you. My door is always open also if you need guidance or support.
As you balance your studies and commitments, remember that college life is about more than academics. It’s an opportunity to forge connections and discover new passions. Prioritize self-care, take time for yourself, practice mindfulness, and strive for a healthy work-study-life balance.
As we begin the fall semester, remember that success is a journey, not a destination. Celebrate your accomplishments—big and small—and learn from any setbacks. Your potential is limitless and I can’t wait to see what incredible things you will achieve.
Once again, welcome to the 2024-2025 academic year. Let’s make it a time of growth, inspiration, and remarkable accomplishments.
Sincerely,
Dr. Juan Carlos Mercado
