Faculty/Staff Official City College E-mail Guidelines

The 'Official City College E-mail Guidelines' below were sent to all faculty/staff from the 'Office of the Provost' on May 5th 2017.

The 'Webmail' e-mail service is the official City College e-mail domain (@ccny.cuny.edu).  
All CCNY faculty and staff that were issued an official CCNY e-mail account should activate the account using one of the forms below:

     CCNY FACULTY/STAFF:  Activate Account/Password Reset

     CUNY School of Medicine FACULTY/STAFF:  Activate Account/Password Reset 

All CUNY School of Medicine or Science e-mail faculty and staff should have an account in 'Webmail' as their official CCNY e-mail.

As we bring the Academic Year to a close, we wanted to remind all faculty and staff that official communications throughout the year are transmitted via your faculty or staff e-mail account, configured as name@ccny.cuny.edu .
Although many faculty and staff have more than one email account, it is important that the official CCNY email account be checked for business communications and college related emails.

E-mail addresses provided through CCNY other than the official e-mail, such as @sci.ccny.cuny.edu, @med.cuny.edu, etc., are supplemental. While CUNY policy prohibits the forwarding of e-mails from CUNY e-mail systems to non-CUNY e-mail systems, it is easy to forward mail from the official e-mail to one of the supplemental CCNY systems.

If you have multiple CUNY e-mail accounts and wish to have assistance configuring your forwarding statements so that you receive your CCNY e-mails to your preferred account, please contact the IT Service Desk at ext. 7878 (212-650-7878).
