As Spring Break comes to an end, I write to update you on tightened security for entering buildings on campus as a result of the encampment setup on the Quad. Only City College faculty, staff, students and named guests will be allowed inside campus buildings. CCNY faculty, staff and students will be required to show a valid CCNY ID at the door. If your current ID does not have a 2024 validation sticker, you will need to get one. Stickers are available at the OneStop and/or the ID office in NAC 1/206. Anyone expecting a visit from a guest will need to leave the guest’s name with… Read More »
Dear Campus Community,
I write today with a brief update on on-campus activities that have taken place over the last several days. Just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, a group of demonstrators calling themselves the “CUNY Gaza Solidarity Encampment” set up a tent encampment on our quad. Although they are sited at the CCNY campus, most of their demands are directed at the University. The demonstrators appear to be made up of students, faculty and staff from City College and across the CUNY system and a sizable contingent that is not affiliated with any CUNY campus.
We face… Read More »

Dear Members of the Campus Community,
I invite you to join us today, April 2nd, at 1pm in the Steinman lobby for a memorial gathering in honor of Professor David Rumschitzki.
For more than four decades, David was an active member of our campus community who left an indelible impact in the lives of his students and colleagues. We will be joined by members of his immediate family in remembering all the qualities that made him irreplaceable.
At a later date, we will plant a tree on the lawn of Shepard Hall to honor David's memory, commemorate his contributions and to serve as an… Read More »

Hello Campus Community,
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand have secured $1.5 million in the Fiscal Year 2024 appropriations package to boost skills-based workforce development at The City College of New York situated Rangel Infrastructure Workforce Development Initiative. The funding will support CCNY as it seeks to expand skills-based training on campus for low-income New Yorkers in the form of increased access to computer labs, instruments, trainers, and career opportunities.
This is a major development that will further enhance… Read More »
Dear Members of the Campus Community,
I hope this note finds you well and you are settling in for our spring semester.

Dear Campus Community,
I have recently been reminded that our holiday party corresponds with the first day of Hanukkah, and I want to ensure that Jewish members of our faculty are not in a position of choosing between a campus celebration and family obligations. Because of that, we are moving the Holiday Party to December 14th. We will gather at 5pm.
Sincerely,
Vince Boudreau
President
Dear Faculty and Staff,
As many of you know, Vice President Celia Lloyd has announced her retirement as of February 1st, 2024. It is difficult to know where to begin to describe Celia’s long tenure and many different roles at CUNY and CCNY. Celia came to CUNY more than 30 years ago and has been at CCNY for the last 25 of those 30-plus years. She came to City College as the Senior Registrar and also served as the Interim Director of Admissions, the CUNYfirst Coordinator and, most recently, the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
Celia has clearly… Read More »
