The CCNY School of Education Virtual (Zoom) Graduate Admissions Information Session is designed for the prospective applicant interested in exploring, entering, or furthering a career in Education. The hour-long session includes an overview of the programs/tracks offered in the School of Education from P-12, discussions on certification routes, clinical practice and putting the best graduate application forward. At the end of the presentation, there is a period for Q&A. It is a very lively hour!

Please join us for an online informational meeting on City College’s new Cybersecurity Master’s Degree Program.

The Cybersecurity Program was started with seed funding from the New York City Economic Development Corporation as part of its Cyber NYC initiative with the goals of helping meet the growing need for cybersecurity professionals and making New York City a global capital for cybersecurity. City College is working with private sector partners to develop an industry-informed curriculum designed to provide students with the theoretical foundation, technical skills, and applied learning experiences needed to enter the workforce in a critical field where there is a significant shortage of qualified candidates.

During the information session participants will hear from the Cybersecurity program team, including Co-Directors Professor Rosario Gennaro (Computer Science) and Professor Tarek Saadawi (Electrical Engineering), and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program academics and the application.

Join Michelle Valladares, CCNY’s MFA in Creative Writing’s program director, for an informal discussion and Q&A with Manreet Someshwar, author of The Radiance of a Thousand Suns, and current MFA candidate. This is also Open House for prospective students interested in the MFA program at CCNY. 

Chai and Chat is a new forum for MFA students and alum to engage with our literary community, learn more about the program and receive tips on the fine art of making a good cup of Masala Chai. 

Manreet Sodhi Someshwar is an award-winning writer of five books, including the critically-acclaimed The Long Walk Home and The Radiance of a Thousand Suns. Hailed as ‘a star on the literary horizon’ by Khushwant Singh, Manreet’s work has featured at literary festivals in Singapore, Shanghai, Hong Kong, India and NYC. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, the South China Morning Post and several Indian publications. Manreet will be graduating from the MFA Program in May, 2021.
