Since its beginning in 1984, the Ad/PR program has been the only undergraduate integrated marketing communications specialization in CUNY. It is one of three undergraduate specializations (Film/Video, Journalism and Ad/PR) in The Department of Media & Communication Arts (MCA) -- a part of the Division of Humanities & the Arts.
With approximately 400 declared Ad/PR majors, the program remains true to its mission: to offer a competitive, professional communications education to a diverse student body. We attract a growing number of students not only from New York, but nationally (as far as California, Florida and Oregon) and internationally (Japan, China, Poland, Croatia, France, Barbados, Brazil and, Venezuela). Several students have come into the program seeking second undergraduate degrees.
