Ernesto Quinteros Chief Design Officer at Johnson & Johnson

Noel Ellis Director for Engineering Learning and University Relations at Raytheon Intelligence & Space

Ernesto Quinteros

Ernesto Quinteros (EQ) is Chief Design Officer for Johnson & Johnson and leads the global design organization, J&J Design. As an enterprise-wide function, J&J Design integrates care-centered design innovation across the company’s Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices sectors. J&J Design is involved in programs that help the enterprise rethink some of its traditional product categories as well as define new ones in the emerging digital healthcare space. Currently EQ and his team are contributing to efforts surrounding the company’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate, CAR-T therapy and robotic platforms. In addition to helping improve the lives of over one billion people who use J&J products every day, the design team is also focused on improving the experiences and productivity of J&J employees around the world, with solutions ranging from mobile applications to work environments.

 

 

Noel Ellis

Noel Ellis is director for Engineering Learning and University Relations for Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a Raytheon Technologies business. In this role, his responsibilities include developing and leading Engineering Continuing Education, Organizational Training and a number of Talent Development programs. He also leads Engineering University Relations and manages the University Research portfolio. Ellis joined the former Raytheon Company in 2003, prior to merger with United Technologies in 2020. He has held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility and complexity, including serving as Raytheon’s Professor of Practice at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Ellis is also a leader and spokesperson for the company’s ongoing efforts to promote student interest in STEM careers, and regularly participates in conferences and community outreach events to increase awareness of STEM career opportunities. Ellis has 30 years of experience in management and consulting, new product development, portfolio and project management, process improvement, and supporting applications within multiple industries and product lines. He has led multidiscipline product development and professional services organizations and managed projects for engineering, professional services, business development, and sales organizations, successfully executing enterprise-level strategies with North American and European clients. Ellis earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach. He has completed the Technical Management Program at University of California, Los Angeles.
