National Science Foundation (NSF)

Graduate Research Fellowship Program:
The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans supports thirty New Americans, immigrants or the children of immigrants, who are pursuing graduate school in the United States.


RISE Summer Research Internships in Science and Engineering:
RISE stands for Research Internships in Science and Engineering. RISE Professional offers summer research internships in Germany to Master’s and Ph.D. students from USA, Canada, Great Britain or Ireland at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry.


Fellowships and Scholarships:
NASA Fellowships are competitive awards to support independently conceived or designed research, or senior design projects by highly qualified faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students, in disciplines needed to help advance NASA's missions in STEM-related areas of study.
Space Technology Research Fellowships:
NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate seeks to sponsor graduate students to research at their colleges or universities and at selected NASA centers.

MIT Lincoln Laboratory
At MIT Lincoln Laboratory, students gain valuable research experience and exposure to career paths across many scientific, engineering, and operational fields. Some programs fulfill a student's academic requirement, while others support thesis work at specific universities or offer paid internships. Many times, a student's experience at the Laboratory can evolve into post-graduation employment.
Summer Research Program:
Each summer, the Laboratory offers undergraduate and graduate students the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading-edge research environment.

American Association of University Women

American Fellowships / Dissertation Grant:
American Fellowships support women scholars who are completing dissertations, planning research leave from accredited institutions, or preparing research for publication.
International Fellowships:
International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Selected Professions Fellowships:
Selected Professions Fellowships are awarded to women who intend to pursue a full-time course of study at accredited U.S. institutions during the fellowship year.

American Heart Association

Predoctoral Fellowship:
To enhance the integrated research and clinical training of promising students who are matriculated in pre-doctoral or clinical health professional degree training programs and who intend careers as scientists, physician-scientists or other clinician-scientists, or related careers aimed at improving global cardiovascular health.

SAE International

Yanmar/SAE Scholarship:
Given the urgency of limited fuel supplies and environmental concerns over continued use of fossil fuel, Yanmar established this scholarship to help promote their commitment to all aspects of agriculture, marine transportation, construction and general manufacturing industries, with the motto "to conserve energy is to serve mankind."

Doctoral Engineering Scholarship:
The SAE Doctoral Engineering Scholarship provides financial support for students pursuing doctoral studies in engineering with the intent of pursuing a career in teaching engineering at a university.

Department of Citywide Administrative Services

New York City Urban Fellows Program:
A nine-month fellowship that combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with volunteer service opportunities and a seminar series that explores current urban issues impacting public policy.

Enables U.S. biomedical engineers early in their careers to spend one or two years overseas.

US Department of Defense

National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowships:
The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship is a highly competitive, portable fellowship that is awarded to U.S. citizens and nationals who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in one of fifteen supported disciplines

Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service:
The Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support graduate students pursuing technical degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories.

US Department of Energy

Science Graduate Student Research Program (SCGSR):
The goal of the Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program is to prepare graduate students for science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission, by providing graduate thesis research opportunities at DOE laboratories.

Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF):
