The Grove School of Engineering Merit Scholarship – 2024 Incoming Class
Terms & Conditions
This Grove School scholarship has been offered to you based on your academic achievement and potential contributions to the Grove School Community.
1. The merit scholarship in the amount of $6,000 is payable over three years, as follows:
a. Year 1 (2024-2025) - $1,000 Paid over two semesters (fall, spring)
b. Year 2 (2025-2026) - $2,000 Paid over two semesters (fall, spring)
c. Year 3 (2026-2027) - $3,000 Paid over two semesters (fall, spring)
2. You will have access to compete for additional funding that will cover up to your full cost of tuition and fees during final year of studies.
3. You must maintain full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credits) as a matriculated undergraduate student making satisfactory progress in a GSOE major.
4. You must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the end of each academic semester.
5. If you withdraw from a semester, enroll less than full-time, or take one or more semesters off, your scholarship will not be renewed. Exceptions may be made for medical and family emergencies and will require approval from the Office of Undergraduate Affairs.
6. This award can be combined with other college scholarships and awards not to exceed the amount of your cost of attendance and may not be used to supplant any other aid for which you would otherwise qualify.
7. Grove School Scholars are held to the highest standards. If you are in violation of the Academic Integrity Policy or the recipient of disciplinary action, you will lose your scholarship support.
8. As a scholarship recipient, you will be required to complete a scholar response form requesting a biographical profile and photo that may be published in connection with the announcement of your scholarship award.
9. Lastly, these scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors because of direct and immediate impact on the lives and futures of Grove School students. We therefore require our scholarship recipients write letters expressing the impact of their scholarships to their donors. Further instructions will be provided along with guidance on writing to donors.
10. The Grove School reserves the right to fund scholarship using various sources of funding. Changes to the source of funding can be made at the school’s discretion based on the Financial Aid awarding policies. Students will be notified of any changes.
