CCNY's Facilities Management and Planning and Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety Departments re-accept all college-owned monitors, computer components, and other electronic devices to prevent e-waste dumping in landfills and prevent leakage of such devices' toxic chemicals and acids from leaching into disposal sites. 

The campus electronics are recycled year-round. Check list below for an overview of accepted electronic items & equipment that can be responsibly recycled. 

If you have e-waste to be recycled, please submit a work order request to get it picked up.

We are looking into standardizing our waste stations to reduce confusion, promote better recycling behavior, and minimize campus plastic usage.

We've partnered with Polycarbin to help close the loop on the college's labs' most persistent waste stream - lab plastics! Right now, this is a pilot program, with limited availability. If your lab generates a consistent amount of lab plastics, and you would like to recycle them please reach out to us via jweinberger@ccny.cuny.edu .
