In accordance with CUNY Asset Management Policy, City College Property Management is required to conduct an annual physical inventory of all institutional equipment. This process ensures accurate accounting of all tagged equipment across campus.
Departmental Responsibilities:
Each department must maintain oversight of its assets and promptly report any changes to Property Management, including:
- Equipment transfers between departments
- Custodian changes (due to departure, retirement, or other circumstances)
- Any other alterations to asset status
Each department must designate an inventory liaison. The liaison will serve as the primary contact for Property Management during inventory activities and reports equipment transactions
Inventory Process Requirements:
Property Management will conduct physical scans of all tagged equipment. Both on-campus and off-campus equipment must be made available for verification. Departments must ensure all assets are accessible during the inventory period.
Reporting Updates:
All inventory changes must be reported in a timely manner to maintain accurate records.
