This month the project proceeds with the creation of the new IDF (distribution) rooms throughout the building. These expanded rooms will house the additional number of IT switch racks required to control the new data equipment that will be installed in almost every room in the building.
The project proceeds with the construction of the new walls and floor layout. New wiring and conduits have started to be run in the cellar and into the ground floor.
The project has continued with the installation of new WAPs (wireless access points) in the Shepard Hall Yard on Convent Avenue that will provide WiFi capabilities in these outside spaces. The trenching for conduit was completed in the northwest portion of the yard and future trenching is planned in December for the southwest portion of the yard.
