Important Deadlines

Summer 2025

• July 25, 2025 – Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal for the Summer 2025 semester.

• August 1, 2025 – Last day to submit a Federal Direct Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, or Grad PLUS Loan request for the Summer 2025 semester only.

• August 2, 2025 – Last day for students to submit a 2025–2026 Professional Judgment Appeal for Summer 2024.

• August 23, 2025 – Last day for students enrolled only in Summer to have a valid (non-rejected) 2025–2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.

• September 21, 2025 – Last day for students enrolled only in Summer 2025 to submit documents for 2025–2026 verification.

Fall 2025

• August 31, 2025 – Last day to submit a Fall/Spring 2025–2026 New York State Excelsior Scholarship application. Current Excelsior recipients should not submit this application.

• September 15, 2025 – Last day to declare or change a major/minor concentration (required for students with 60 or more earned credits).
  Note: The deadline for any changes or updates to the 2025–2026 TAP application is June 30, 2025.

• October 3, 2025 – Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal.

• October 14, 2025 – Last day for a student to submit a 2025–2026 Professional Judgment Appeal request for Fall 2025 only. (See additional notes below.)

• November 5, 2025 – 60% point of the term. A student has earned 100% of their federal funding for the current payment period.

• December 5, 2025 – Last day to submit a Federal Direct Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, or Grad PLUS Loan request for a Fall 2025 only loan.

• December 21, 2025 – Last day for a student enrolled in Fall only to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2025–2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file.

• January 9, 2026 – Last day for a student enrolled in Fall 2025 only to submit documents for 2025–2026 verification.
  Documents must be submitted before Spring 2026.

• June 30, 2026 – Last day to apply for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

Spring 2025

• February 15, 2026 – Last day to declare or change a major/minor concentration (required for students with 60 or more earned credits).

• March 6, 2026 – Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal.

• March 14, 2026 – Last day to submit a Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 or Spring 2026 only:

  • Professional Judgment Appeal

  • Dependency Appeal

  • Family Contribution Appeal

  • Cost of Attendance Appeal

• May 22, 2026 – Last day for a student enrolled in Fall and Spring or Spring only to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2025–2026 FAFSA on file.

• June 30, 2026 – Last day to apply for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

• July 24, 2026 – Last day for a Spring 2026 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2025–2026 verification.

Important Notes

• May 1, 2026 – Last day to submit a Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Federal Direct Loan, Parent PLUS Loan, or Grad PLUS Loan request.
  To be eligible for a fall and spring loan, you must have completed at least 6 credits in the fall and be registered for at least 6 credits in the spring semester.

• March 14, 2026 – Last day to submit a Professional Judgment Appeal, Dependency Appeal, Family Contribution Appeal, or Cost of Attendance Appeal for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, or Spring 2026 only.
  Failure to submit additional documentation requested by the Financial Aid Office in a timely manner will result in your appeal being denied.

• FAFSA Deadline Reminder:
  Federal processing deadlines prohibit the college from processing a 2025–2026 FAFSA after a student’s last date of enrollment. Students who have not filed a FAFSA for the 2025–2026 academic year and are no longer enrolled have missed the deadline to be considered for federal student aid for that academic year.
