October 2023 Update
This month the project proceeds with the renovation of the first 3 elevators. These elevators are numbered 2, 11 and 13.
Elevator #2 is in Bank A on the south side of the building (Aronow Theater).
Elevator #11 is in the north side of the building near the loading docks.
Elevator #13 services the cafeteria kitchen.
Installation of the new cars as well as mechanical equipment in the machine rooms will continue this month. These elevators are expected to be put back into operation by the start of the Spring 2024 Semester. After which, the next 3 elevators will be replaced (1, 3, & 5).
In the coming months, work will begin in the elevator lobbies as well.
Note: For the duration of the project, there will never be both elevators that occupy the same bank down at the same time. There will be a maximum of 3 elevators out of service for replacement at a time.
