The Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI)

The Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) at The City College of New York (CCNY) is a state-of-the-art research facility located at 85 St. Nicholas Terrace in Harlem. Opened in 2015 as part of CUNY's “Decade of the Sciences” initiative, the CDI spans approximately 200,000 square feet and is designed to foster interdisciplinary research across various scientific disciplines. The facility houses advanced laboratories, including a vivarium, and supports departments such as chemistry, biology, physics, and earth and atmospheric sciences. Its design promotes collaboration among researchers, faculty, and students, aiming to position CCNY as a world-class research institution and contribute positively to the Harlem community.
